The first stop of our weekend workshop was a German restaurant in Hudson, Wisconsin. We were seated in our own room in the basement called the Ratskeller (rat cellar). Using this as inspiration, we decided to break into groups and explore Hudson through its cellars and basements. Among our discoveries were a cave once used for making liquor during prohibition, an EMT dormitory and the basement of a Messianic Jewish Temple.
